Trevor Rowley Joins 3D as National Sales Manager.
Managing Director Mark Lofthouse and Technical Director Vince Richardson welcome Trevor to the team 3D Laminates are proud to announce the arrival of Trevor Rowley, recently appointed as National Sales Manager for the UK and Europe.
Trevor has over 20 years industry experience having started with Amari back in the mid eighties, selling Veka sheets to the door panel market.
Throughout the nineties Trevor worked for the Robert Horne Group and was extensively involved with the 'Compax' polycarbonate sheets which were developed to combat the problems of dark colours absorbing heat and subsequently bowing, cracking and generally failing to perform.
In the late nineties Trevor moved to Simona as their Door Panel Specialist. Simonas' P.C.Blend was the favoured product at the time but still suffered the same moisture ingress problem associated with any polycarbonate based product.
Says Trevor:
"I had a lengthy conversation with 3D laminates about the problems with dark and woodgrain sheets. They have been trying for a long time to come up with a solution to help the market overcome these problems. While other manufacturers have been looking at alternative base sheets, 3D Laminates in conjunction with a major PVC extrusion manufacturer developed a PVC sheet with a higher Vicat softening point, (so no moisture, brittle problems normally associated with a polycarbonate blend sheet). Used in conjunction with a new "Cool Color"™ foil developed by Hornschuch, a leading foil manufacturer to combat these problems, designed with a special layer to reflect solar heat back out of the sheet.
Put these two concepts together and you have a product that will significantly reduce the inherrent problems associated with brown woodgrain doors.
The test results I have seen are remarkable, and I have been so impressed not only with this new product but also the time and patience put into finding a cure for this market, that I decided to leave Simona and join 3D Laminates in November this year as National Sales Manager.
I can say I am very excited about this new product, we now have a competetively priced PVC woodgrain sheet, that Does Exactly what it says on the Tin !!
