Duramax™
DURAMAX™ LAM is an extruded solid PVC sheet laminated with a semi rigid PVC based acrylic capstock foil.
As with DURAMAX™ WHITE, the substrate is based on high quality impact modified rigid PVC, with excellent vacuum forming performance.
New to the door fabrication markets of Europe, these laminated coatings are available with an embossed textured finish in both a range of wood effect and solid colour.
The complete DURAMAX™ LAM product range is backed by a comprehensive 15 year durability and colourfast guarantee.
The combination of the rigid PVC substrate and the PVC backed foils offer THREE very significant technical advantages to the end user:
1. Durability and colour fastness of the laminating foil has been significantly improved over current foils of this type. The foil has been formulated for applications in hot climate zones (S) with both natural and accelerated weathering data, clearly indicating the high durability performance levels of these foil types. A comprehensive 15 year guarantee on durability and colourfastness backs up these claims.
2. The use of carefully researched and selected pigmentation systems and formulation design of the semi rigid PVC substrates within the foil make up, SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the level of heat absorption of a door panel. Depending upon the wood grain foil being used, up to 90% reduction in heat absorption can be achieved, compared with similar PVC based foils found in the market.
This gives exceptional protection to the rigid PVC substrate, so much so that the door fabricators reject rates will become a thing of the past in terms of warping, splitting, cracking and distortion, of the product, whilst in service.
3. Whatever type of finished woodgrain foil or solid colour foil is required it will exactly match the door frame surround as well as the window profile being installed or being installed, in texture grain, gloss and feel.
