Who We Are

3D Laminates Ltd was born in 2004 when Mark Lofthouse and Vince Richardson formed a partnership to address the issues within a failing door panel market, where dark coloured and wood grain colours were not being technically satisfied by hot stamp foils and other heat absorbing surfaces. Put simply, the first generation laminated sheets and door panels were prone to failure in certain climatic conditions.

The combination of heat reflective foil from Hornschuch and the long-term development of heat reflective PVC based substrate by Vince Richardson, initially with Interplast in Dubai led to the development of CoolSkin technology that remain at the heart of our laminated sheet products.

History:

2006. Began trading.

2006. Exclusivity with GAP/Rockdoor and the emergence of CoolSkin technology.

2007. Began extensive trading in the UK and Eire.

2008. Began export trading.

2009. Holding approx 65–70% of UK/Irish market for solid colour and woodgrain PVC product for the door panel market.

2009. Began relationship with Röchling.

2009. Hornschuch made improvements in the technical performance of their foils, specifically their COOLCOLORS® film.

Today the company is the leading supplier of laminated door sheet, supplying 75% of the UK and Irish market with CoolSkin technology, along with a strong export market.
